Person in charge

Studio Blue Mambo, at 2750 Chemin Ste-Foy, Québec (G1V 1G7), is responsible for the personal information it holds.

Website and app

This policy covers the public website (information pages, course enrollment, troupe payments, Mambo Addiction tickets, and portals) and the Portail Blue Mambo mobile app, which is for the school's teachers and administrators.

The app does not let anyone create an account. The school creates teacher and administrator accounts and gives them their sign-in details.

Information we collect

On the website, course enrollment collects the name, email address, and, for a duo enrollment, the partner's name, along with the chosen course. A ticket purchase or troupe payment sends the name, email address, and payment details to Stripe. Stripe processes the full card number. We do not store it.

In the Portail Blue Mambo app, sign-in uses the email address and password. The app then shows and stores the name, the role (teacher or administrator), and the work data: attendance, availability, classes taught, messages to teachers, and, for an administrator, enrollments and school management. The session token is kept in the device's secure storage.

The app does not include advertising, tracking, or an audience-measurement tool.

Purposes

We use this information to enroll students, take payments, send receipts and class-related messages, record attendance, collect teacher availability, and run the school. We do not sell personal information.

Providers outside Quebec

To run the website and the app, information is shared with providers located outside Quebec: Supabase (accounts and database), Google Firebase (hosting for the website and the API), Stripe (payments), Brevo (transactional email), and Sentry (error diagnosis, after sensitive data is removed). Playing a music track can tell YouTube, a Google service, that a video was started.

These providers use the information only to deliver those services to us.

Retention

App accounts are kept while the person teaches or administers at the school. Enrollments, attendance, payments, and payroll-related information are kept for six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, for accounting and tax obligations. After that, or sooner on request when the law allows, we delete or anonymize them.

Your rights

You can ask to access your information, have it corrected, withdraw your consent when the law allows, or have your account deleted. The app has no delete button: write to info@studiobluemambo.com. We reply within a reasonable time.

You can also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec: www.cai.gouv.qc.ca.

Cookies and storage

The website sets a session cookie to keep a portal sign-in open. We do not use advertising cookies. YouTube may set its own cookies when you start a music track. The app keeps the session token in the device's secure storage.
